Eden Reforestation Projects is an amazing organization
that has a holistic approach to reforestation and ecological restoration.
Their approach is this:
- Partnering with villages that are committed to restoring their forests
- Hire and train local villagers to plant new trees
- They only plant native species
- The villages protect their new forests because they are invested in them
- Seedling survival rate is over 80%
- Villagers are employed and families are transformed
